I think purple may be onto something... try covering the end of the tank/blocking the view of the door and see how she does. Also, could she be feeling more exposed if there's more windows, no longer in a corner, etc?

constipation sound logical.

How much did you normally feed her along a week, before her started to show problems? Every day? Every other day?

And do you let her chew? If i throw in a chunk of shrimp my fahaka will swallow it whole without chewing. So i always either cut it into nice little portions or holding on to the big chunk during handfeeding so he can take a few bites out of it first and kind of force him to take his food in bits. Sometimes he does succeed in eating a whole shrimp at once, mostly when i let visitors try and handfeed him.... where he comes at it so visciously they get startled and drop it in the water, and i always notice he has a bit more trouble digesting it. Once he was even acting really strange... i even called up a friend who has puffer too what it ment..... then during the discussion i saw him push and poo really shot out his back end like 6 inches far haha..... After that everything was ok again...

When I saw this topic I thought to myself, *Ethiopian Fahaka*!?! Hope all gets better!
I moved my fahaka that was around 8" at the time and he sat in a 5 gallon pail for about 6 hours, he really wasn't to impressed about that *Turned Jetblack* but came too after about a day...

Turns out she wasnt constipated or the door being in view ... she has finally eaten 3 little, 2 inch blue yabby crayfish. Whats weird is she wont eat anything else but doesnt matter too much as we breed blue yabbies in our 35g and have plenty of them plus got 2 mummy & daddys breeding so its ok just to feed crayfish for now.

Hopefully in time hope she eats my mussles, king prawns, snails etc as not sure how good of a diet would be just on plain crafish .. but all good at least shes eating now :)

When my Mbu wasn't well and stopped eating, at first I got him to take snails and that's all he would take, then I got him to take earthworms and that's all he would take ..... eventually he did start taking other foods and is healthy and happy now. :D

I'm glad to hear that your puffer is doing better, that's excellent. And at least he's eating, even if it is only crayfish, at least he's taking in nutrition and that's the important thing. :grats:
