Carmen, you're hiring?
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

I've always been a bit cynical about companies that want perfect resumes (CV's for the Brits), but who aren't interested in practical experience.

Years ago, when I was quite young, I worked as a temp for GMAC, and I was so good that they requested me to come back several times, although they would not hire me because I did not have a college degree. However, they had no problem asking me to train the person who was to take my job, a woman that had a degree, or so they thought. They had me make up training manuals on their rental car service, as well as the credit side, both of which I had worked. :?

Well, after I'd trained this woman and she took my job, obviously they didn't need me anymore, and I was let go -- but I got great delight in finding out a short time later that the woman who had taken my job had lied to them, she had forged her degree and didn't have a college education any more than I did! I thought it served them right!!!

I could never understand why I wasn't good enough to have that job. Good enough to train people and make up manuals to train future employees, but not good enough to be employed! Bureaucratic bull-hockey if you ask me!

Haha how stupid of them! how could they ask you to train someone doing a job.. but not be able to have that job.
Ah well, their loss I guess :)

Just a random thing that happened near me today:
There was a riot of about 2000+ people in my town, police in vans and on horses with big shields and masks and stuff... poor horses :(
Apparently 70+ people where arrested for various things, smashed up cars and shops etc.
Some people got stabbed, lots of police horses and dogs injured.
And my mum's shop made her go into work right in the middle of it, no transport was running, all the roads shut off, so she had to walk through it.
Stupid shop... She was ok though :)

back on track :D

what happened to me today? hmmm... went to walmart & bought a light fixture, got it home, opened it on my lap only to find out it was shattered! i ended up with thousands of itty bitty shards of glass on my lap, i, being the only person home didnt know what to do... couldnt stand up or glass would get every where, so i called someone, had them come over and vaccuum me lol... which thank god cause i NEVER would have gotten those pieces of glass out of the carpet had i stood up!

lets see, what else, i sold my ex boyfriends car (that i bought in the first place).... got WAY less than what i paid for it cause he treated it like it was a garbage dump.... but at least its gone and i have $900 of the $1500 to play with :D now im contemplating what i could buy with the money (more puffs?) lol

cleaned the house a bit.... yep, thats about it

May I ask which town you live in Tigerlilly? I'm in the northeast/midlands .... just curious as that sounds pretty bad. :(

It's good to know that your mother is okay, what a horrible thing to make someone do!

LOL kilofey that's awesome! good on you for selling it, I saw the boyfriend story in another thread. :(
And I live in Bolton :) It was horrible yeh, I told her not to go in because who's going to be shopping in the middle of that? but apparently her manager told her she had to.
Random news about it: http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/507 ... _protests/

That's kinda old though people ended up being stabbed etc. It's silly.

Dang! We were actually going to go over to BAS today too, but decided on going to Wharf instead. Good thing we didn't try to get over there, that's awful.

I hate hearing about the dogs and horses being injured, they are just innocent animals getting in the middle of a mess, poor things. :(

I think if I were your Mom, I might have told her work where to stick their job (or feined illness quickly)! :?

Yeh, the road near BAS was closed today I think, I tried to go to petsathome and that one was shut off >_<
If you watch the video I just added, it looks pretty scary! I wouldn't of walked through that, I'd rather of been sacked!

... not funny, but a funny story...

I did teach an Iranian a while back and we were talking about this stuff. His comment:
"ahhh it happens, people fight over sheep and camels, land and oil ... then they die. Nothing unusual."

And given our history ... it is so true!

oh oh oh, i almost forgot! so when i woke up today, i caught my fahakas next meal harassing my kitties! apparently a crayfish jumped the tank, he was on the carpet about 25 feet away from the tank. my cat was staring at it and he had his pinchers fully opened ready to attack her ... the other cat was hanging back for backup, ya kno, just in case ;) hahaha....

Haha I honestly have no idea about things happening in the world.. wars etc, I refuse to watch the news unless it's really close to me, it's so depressing.
But it seemed pretty pointless, maybe it wasn't because I don't even know who they where.. but what do they gain from walking around a town shouting? I doubt anyones going to listen haha, most of them where probably nothing to do with it and just wanted to go along to create a fuss.

and haha aww Kilofey poor kitty xD my girl cat's currently in heat and driving our male crazy, he's not interested at all because he's been neutered and everytime she comes being all cute infront of him, he bops her on the head and runs away.
Btw, may I ask what Wharf is? :o we're looking for aquariums to buy Discus soon.
