I meant fish as well ;)

I would also be curious about how they are doing now?

I say boycott Wal-Mart, period. All they sell anymore is Chinese-made trash. Support your local businesses instead.

We decided a couple of years ago to avoid Walmart, but no matter how hard we looked, all we could find ate other stores was chinese made crap at twice the price :-(
I don't have the answer. Unless the majority of people decide that they are willing to pay more for north american made products, and north american companies rise to the occasion and produce and market quality merchandise, we're sunk :-(
As a side note, there are 2 Walmarts in our city. The new one doesn't have a live fish section at all, and the old one has recently been renovated and someone told me the live fish section was gone. Hopefully, the US ones are headed that way, too?

oh how I hate wal-mart...I have photos of some of the sickest dying fish I've ever seen taken at Wal-Mart. I've emailed and complained but nothing seems to work. Just don't buy from them if you can help it.

The tank is cycled, They don't have any parasites (thank goodness) and for now, they're tiny, and they're in a 10 gallon. (it's all I have at the moment) As soon as they get healthier I'm going to start acclimating them to brackish water. Or should I start now? My original puffer was sold in brackish water so i'm not too sure how to start out the process.

When they're better I plan on giving them away (to experienced fish keepers) because there's no way I can afford/keep up with a 120 gallon tank. So if anyone's in the tulsa area and wants a Puffer..I've got three.

you shouldnt take on something you arent fully prepared and able to keep... cause more than likely, youll get attached and then theyll still suffer... or what happens if you dont/cant find a suitable home for them?

I agree with Kilofey, but you do not have to have a 125 gallon tank. You could have smaller tanks that house one GSP a piece..or one 60 gallon for two and so on. 3 each with a 30 gallon. 2 in a 60 gallon one in a 30 gallon...Just a thought.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but I couldn't let them die. I have a while before they grow and start to get aggressive towards each other and If I don't find suitable homes for them, the local Petco has "fish adoptions" and I know that they will find them their suitable homes. The fish lady at my petco really cares about the fish and knows what she's doing.
