here are some pics from my DIY Project

There are two ways of doing this project, one is removable background the other is not, I chose not, because its only 29gal T that didn't cost me that much $ and if I'll screw up my wallet wont suffer that much.



Cutting pieces wasn't difficult at all



I used touth picks to secure Styrofoam since I wasn't sure if I like









I made big inaf space for my filter and heater




between fake racks, I made holes 1x2inch and in some places 2x4 so the water could get to a filter easily.I've used plastic net or a mesh







This is it for now, I liked that I've seen so I used silicone to glue one section pieces together. To be sure that every cave will be covered in cement I have to cement my background in sections. This is one of the sections.


This Project will take up to 5-6 weeks, I have lots of time and I will not rush. Mistakes cost $ and I can,t make them.

Well, now I'm really interested in seeing the finished product!

have you figured out how many gallons you will have left over?

well, it looks like this will take about 30 - 40% but to be sure I would need to get a 2gal bucket and add water to my tank after project is completed, since there are caves that water can get to.

sweet my posts seem to dissapear glad you caught it. testing, 3 ,2 ,1 poof?.

OK I quit, It would take me forever to do this project and the weather is not helping. Epoxy risen could be harmful to fish in the long run.
SO, I drove by local landscaping place and got $10 worth of some natural stone. What do you think?

Why are you using epoxy? Fishtank silicone!!

But the rocks look good anyway!
