Hello all, and Merry Christmas
this is the first time in a while i've been able to post just because i've been so busy. Just wanted to let everyone know that George took the move back home very well. aside from what i thought i was going to do, i actually ended up putting him in his own half gallon tupperware, and put the rest of the water in 5 gallon buckets. i took dadof4's advice and added half new water. so far he's been fine, feeding on his shrimp, bloodworms, and snails like he was back at the dorm. one thing to note for next time tho, do not carry filter media with the substrate because it will turn into a BIG mess, yes those will most definitely get their own separate container for the return trip. again, thanks all for the suggestions, and enjoy your holidays

I would think the filter media in a gallon bag would have worked fine.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...
