I think we've all been there, Raphael. Kudos for doing your homework!

Porcupine puffers are cute and friendly but they do get big and fast... You can start them in smaller tanks but you better have larger (150+) to go into when full grown. Sounds like they are not exactly what you are after husbandry wise right now.

If you want an easier keeping marine/saltwater puffer try some of the canthigaster genus (saddle, valentini, blue spot)puffers... Very cute, friendly, and don't get much more than 4", never even heard of one larger than 5".

I agree with Lee here. I have a Valentini that maxes out at 4" and is just as personable as the larger puffs I have.

Ok, I'll consider it. What care do they need if I buy a skimmer?

well basically the same care that your F8s do pristine water, good food nad a good water changeing schedule. also they will get at least a 30 gallon as well though a 40 breeder is preferred.
