hexamita or spironucleus is what i was treating for,it says they are protozoans so maybe i could try a dewormer along with metro if i have a problem with the new puffers. I cut one that died open and didnt see worms (sorry for being graphic) i guess that dont mean there not there though

Lots of folks here have done necropsies/autopsies.

But like I said, don't take my word for it.

i read more on it and if i have the problem i will use wormers also it says that protozoans accompany worms so id like to take care of all the problems thank you your answer helped and was correct

A lot of folks locally use API General Cure for anything relating to IP's.

It contains 250mg Metronidazole and 75mg Praziquantel per packet. Prazi is what kills soft bodied worms, although Metro acts against all protozoans and i have heard that it also has limited action against certain species of worms.

I would suggest following the directions on the packet: using it internally could cause kidney damage.
