I used to have an albino axolotl called Douglas! Can't remember what happened to him though - I was pretty young!

We've got mudpuppies, tiger salamanders, and marbled salamanders. I used to get them from my aunt's abandoned rock kory. (I really don't know how to spell it, but a place where they take rock out of a cliff for commercial use) If you flip over some of the rocks in the river near it you'd fine a ton of salamanders!! I actually used to have a mudpuppy, when I was little. I don't know where they found it, though.

Why don't you do a local biotope?

Local biotopes let you get a close-up look at local ecology, much closer than you can get from just looking at the pond. I want to do one someday. They can be absolutely gorgeous, and besides that, you can get a lot of stuff for free.

Good point. If you ask me though I would rather have something more exotic. Especially if you can only have what? 2 tanks now?
Swimz. Im voting for a male and female Irr

I could do a biotope, but basically the only things that would fit would be rock bass, gobies, painted turtles, and crayfish. BORING. Yah, I wish I could do irrubesco, but I don't want to be shot at from the puffer gods. A mudpuppy is like the photo I posted, only it has a skinnier face and is a more purple color.

They're so hard to catch. I used to have a snapping turtle. His name was Fralphy. He was really little, and he never snapped at you. He loved earthworms. I loved him. Then my parents said it was time for him to go. I let him go at the lake nearby. My room really stunk then.

Heh, I had a snapping turtle too but mine got up to 30 lbs and was a bear to "let go". He was beautiful but at his size he was too dangerous. Ended up tagging him letting him go in the backwaters around here.
