Wow! I have tanks taller then that! I kid and tease because my wife is only 5' 1" and she gets soooo peeved at me when I ask her to feed the tall display tanks....Hehe! What gets her goat even more is that we live in an old victorian home and the kitchen cabinets reach all the way to the ceiling, even with a step stool she can get to the second shelf! I better not let her read this or I'll be sleeping in the doghouse again.

Hey, I think us short people are unique, and we see the world with a different perspective

I prefer the term vertically challenged and you know it's bad when you have to jump onto the dryer to reach the cabinet above it.

On the plus side.....us short people will NEVER have to duck lol. A short person totatlly designed those busses with the short ceilings that people are constantly cracking their heads on. rofl

To be on topic.......the tank is filled and cycling. IT BEGINS!!!!

Oh and is it a bad thing that I have already named this fish that I do not own yet? It's not my fault really i'm just so excited and Tala was such a good name. I thought it sounded very Nile Riverish lol. My mother thinks i've finally gone insane. The idea of a tank i so big I could take a bath in it residing in my living room just does not compute for her. I secretly think she's jealous lol.

And you never have to worry about being struck by lightning like us tall people!

And also: Us tall people constantly are being effected by the wind, And knocked over easily, Yet 2 more advantages to shortness. But i like short girls.

lol yet more advantages to being short! Yeah I horse back ride a lot and when we go on trails even though my horse is the tallest everyone else is having to duck branches and I just sit back and laugh at them. Of course the other trick is riding behind someone taller which isn't hard for me to do so that they knock all the spider webs down before you get there.

So I have a dilema. For the past month and a half now all I've seen for sale on aquabid is fahakas. Now that I actually have a tank cycling for one there isn't a fahaka to be found. I found a vendor on monsterfishkeepers.com selling a 3inch juvie. So the question should I go ahead and get it? I have the 30gallon already cycled fresh water system that my 4 inch blue acara lives in....but then I worry about what would happen to the blue acara. The big tank is already showing nitrites and nitrates so it should only be about a week before it's ready. Now I don't know what to do. I don't want to buy it and not have a tank for it. I could put the blue acara in the big tank but he'd have to ride out the last bit of the cycle and I don't know how I'd feel about that, or I could try to get them to share the tank and possibly end up with a dead acara, which I don't want either. But I also don't want to wait only to find out they have no more fahakas and then have to wait forever to get one. Gah.....advice anybody?

It figures.....when I was looking for a congo everybody had fahakas. And now that I'll finally have a tank for one there isn't a fahaka to be found.

no advice.... but referring to the earlier discussion... my 'vertically challenged' colleague had someone use the top of her head to rest their newspaper on while they were reading it... both were standing at the time!
