When I got my first one, it seemed to hide most of the day and then it became really active after dark. I think it's fairly common.

This is a fish that can change color, getting darker and lighter.

If it's not going for live ghosties, or live blackworms, this is not a happy fish.

What were the tank conditions of the place you got it? And how does that compare to what you have it in now?

Is there ANY discernible nitrite in the tank? I dang near lost my first knight goby to that.

I'd quit trying to put stuff under "his rock"; if the goby has really decided that it's his territory, having new stuff put there frequently may be stressful.

Also... is the goby in the same tank with the puffers? I've seen puffs go after knight gobies' dorsal fins.

ok, i got the giby right out of the bag, i went to the pet store mid shipment

and i usually wait but ive been waititng for it, the company kept forgetting to send it so i took it

and since then it hasnt rele done anything

but i was thinking if it hasnt eaten anything in a few weeks, wouldnt it be dead?? so maybe he is eating the shrimp



i couldnt find any lfs that have live brine


and he does come out every once and i while at night

{dagnabbit, thought I edited this one...}

If you see him, could you squirt bloodworms in his direction? I've yet to see a goby turn those down.

Also, if this is in a tank with puffers, the puffers may be intimidating it. Knight gobies don't really "do much" as a general rule; they sit around and move around a bit, but not constantly.

i tried the blood worm toward him this morning at feeding time, he was already moving around, when i turned the light on he was on the glass and he went under a rock- but it wasnt like his usual "im gonna be a jerk and not come out" attitude, so to sum up the story, he didnt eat but he was kind of about when i woke up and turned on the lights

but imagonna keep doing the squirt of bloodworms to see what happens
