So is MS222 actually a perscription only medication over by you guys? Here its just another fish supply you can order just like food or dechlor..

Yes, over here, its a prescription only med. Just lucky that I work at a vets, so had no problems ordering it from the wholesaler. Otherwise I would have had to get a written prescription from the vet to get it over the internet, or ask my vet if he would allow me to buy it for use at home. (hence, I was concerned about posting it to anyone).

Is there any chance I could buy some off you BFF, down the line? I'm struggling to get hold of MS222 for the same reasons, and have one surviving SAP - the other two I lost to clove oil, so I'm really keen on avoiding using it again.

I'm curious how difficult it would be to get through customs if it was packaged as an aquarium additive and packaged with some vitamins. I'd almost be willing to try it...What's the worst they can do, stop it in customs and tell me no? Or ask what I was thinking?

I think it'd be dependent upon customs at both ends - might pass through US but then fall foul of the overly exuberant British customs. Despite having no exceptions from Community Law, British Customs and Excise (now the UK Border Agency, I think) keep harassing legal cross-border shoppers bringing back cheaper goods from other EU countries (e.g. France, Belgium), illegally stopping and searching travellers. Under EU Single Market Law, border control of goods is illegal. They confiscate legally imported goods and tax and fine legal shoppers bringing back goods for their own use. They illegally confiscate and sell shoppers' cars too.

So, if you thought your customs guys could be mean, wait until you see ours!

Absolutely. Be happy to send you some. Seems silly for me to have a tub, that I may never need to use again.Just let me know when you need it & I'll get it in the post.

I smuggled some bones and rocks from Cuba I found while snorkelling. I was actually nervous though because they look through your belongings in Cuba and usually end up stealing something.
