Yes, there are spines there but what are the large white spots on the back? Do they show up on his fins or anywhere else? Fluffy looking or just flat white?

Ya it was Deafantly not his spines.. as he has had his pores (spines) always and I knew what they were. Although it was weird it was only on his darker brown colorings and only on the inside and outside of his 8. It seems to have cleared up a lot now. I have Melafix and Pimafix. I used Melafix a while back but it seems like just plan old water changes help the best / better. I'm thinking it might have just been a scratch after all?

Man this fish is a trooper, one thing after another. Now his right fin is sometimes stuck to the side of his body. Sometimes he can unfree it. Thankfully its not covering his gill. Going to do some vacuming and and atleast 50% water change if not a bit more.

What should I use Melafix or Pimafix? should I up the temp a bit or keep it where it's at? What do u think it is ick?
