this puffer is the most common ive found in pet stores here
its usually just labelled brackish puffer or australian banded puffer
which i guess are both wrong

The banded ones are a different species likely M. pleurosticta.

right! we have been shown those banded puffers by other australians. but it is the first time that i have seen this species here.
and by the way: it really seems to be a brackish species.

Hi Martin It is very hard for me to take the best pictures of my puffer right now,I thing my puffer is very happy right now,and the colour also very nice and always siwm and play like kid all day. I think i have been taking the picture of him more than a hundred but most of those pictures are not good. But no worry, I try my best to get the best picture for you.

i just thought that its stripes were faded, after a look at the second pic, i dont think it is the one i thought

Very cute face! It would have helped a lot of you had filled out your location in your profile. We might have been to figure the ID of your puffer much easier. ;)
