As daft as it sounds is there sand in there as substrate or somthing? As to me it looks a little too large and raised our old electric eel which we had at work had what we thought to be whitespot but turned out to be some coral sand lol..... if not just ignore me lol

I like you thinking and I really wish it wash only sand.
It is ich though and i am treating as per the info on the site.
Hopefully gone in a couple of weeks. I just wish it was gone now.

My little MBU is settling in quite well now.
I have treated the tank for ich for the last 10 days and the results have been great. The Mbu is feeding well, swimming much more and looks very happy. Today is the first day with no signs of ich and although i did a large water change yesterday i still have the temps up towards 87-88 f. Will continue with this till the end of the week before i lower the temps back to the norm.
I have also removed some of the fish and added another filter to the tank making 2 external and one internal now.
Thank you to the Puffer Forum for the advice and thank you to those who also posted advice. You know who you are.
