Algae from the tank, algae pellets, and veggies. Just be sure to soak the veggies thoroughly in tank water before feeding them. Mine really like lettuce. I've heard that otos are also fond of zucchini. Keep in mind that veggies float, and you'll need to either use a rubber band to attatch them to a rock, or get a veggie clip. Also, you might need to leave it in there for a couple of days and let it get nice and mooshy before they'll eat it. (This hasn't affected my water quality.)
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

Ok thanks. I got mine cuz I have diatoms in my tank and he is cleaning it up nicely. I was just worried that if I got more my tank could not produce enough aglae for them, but if they eat other food then it doesnt matter.

I have Aquaclear filters on all my FW/BW tanks & if they are >50g, I add a Eheim canister.
