If it wouldn't be for Elvis I would probally down grade also. I did get a denitrator, hoping that will do some good once it kicks in. :D And on Sunday March 15th, Chong will be living with fishlady.
Hoover (wrasse) is already back at the lfs so that leaves:
Elvis (S&S puffer): My sweet darling baby.
Daisy (Snowflake eel): to clean up Elvis' mess inside and around the rocks.
Blenny (Lawnmower blenny) to keep the algea under control.
This is my 156 gallon with 55 gallon sump. :D I might have to upgrade later but it will give me more time. :D

Hey Edmlfc1

What are the measurements of your 156g tank in inches/feet?

I'm just curious as to how big that really is

That sucks, I'm not too surprised, though - I have never seen one of them in healthy condition at a store, always sunken bellies, and looking so hungry, I really doubt it was something you did. I wonder if they have the same issues of heavy wild infestations of parasites you see with burrfish.

Agnate wrote:I'm still not sure yet. If I do, I'll be downgrading the tank to a 40 gallon breeder, I imagine. I wasn't able to grow coral in my 75 gallon (which I very much wanted to do), so I may try that eventually. Marine is just so expensive, and I'm not in a financial situation where I want to be spending that kind of money. We'll see, though. :)
Why not get yourself a nice FW Puffer :)

That's so sad... :( they seem to go downhill so fast.

edmlfc1, Have you tried Vitamin C for nitrate reduction? It gives you great skimmate too!

I already have a nice freshwater puffer named Abe. :D I believe I've decided to shut down my marine stuff and set Abe up in a 40 gallon breeder and just focus on that tank for a while. I've been wanting to upgrade him for a bit now, since he's a pretty big fellow and loads of fun, so I feel he deserves it. ^_^

A nice big marine tank will just have to wait until I have some money in the bank. :)
