amm... he is still very small at the moment prob 6-7 cm's..
but the same as you I tend to find him resting or sleeping during the entire day (on his favourite rock at the back corner, camouflaged to similar colours as the rock) and from 9PM he is as active as anything... swimming next to the glass begging for food.
so i might try Dadof4's suggesteion of slowly moving him away from the night feeding to be more active during the day...
it makes sense to me.. at juvenile stage they will go with their instincts of feeding at night.. so hopefully i can break that habit..
my tank is at sg of 1.023 Ive had him for about 3 months or so now
thats great info, i will try to feed him those things as well. i guess i can increase the salinity in my tank to somewhere around that area as well. thanks.

You must feed your puffer a varied diet. Most of those foods listed in the Library article are perfect for your fish. I soak all their foods in the vits appropriate for the type of fish (SW fish get SW vits, FW fish get FW vits).

I went to the pet store today and bought a product called "heavy spirulina formula ZOE" by kent for marine. i hope thats good enough for the food. i was also wondering how do i add garlic to the food? do i just take the whole clove of garlic and put it into the food while it defrosts and then remove it?

You can crush the clove or half clove and thaw his food in it. If you're using fresh food, just let soak for a while in the crushed garlic. Or you could use some garlic extract. This is what I've used
