Mixing mbu with fronts

There is a fellow in the Classifieds selling a large puffer now, because he thought he had the finances to upgrade but you know how that goes... I don't think most folks have a real idea of the cost to purchase a HUGE tank, stand, top, lights & especially filtration, nevermind the fantastic cost of feeding these guys!

food i find is the cheap part its when things go wrong....... Like a eheim 2080 canister cracking last week not only need a new canister clips and sealign rings at £110 but professionally clean the living room carpet smell of Mbu isnt that nice! Going to be a quiete christmas i guess ha!

Yeah some good points there, all i tend to spend my money on is fish keeping anyway!

i know hes gunna need a bigger tanks when hes getting on. i am always looking for bigger tanks and it shouldnt be to much of an issue to get hold of one.

Same here (other than tattoos). I'm lucky though--I have 3 reef tanks, 1 of which I use as a frag tank. Sold $375 worth of frags yesterday! This gives me more $$$ to spend on my tanks & tatts.

im not alloud to spend much on fish atall.... morgage and baby comes first. Then my partner can think of many ways to spend whats left.

besides i wouldnt have enough time to maintain too many more

Lol pinned down! harsh, my only limitations are my old dear stopping me get more tanks in my room. i got 9 already so i think shes gotta point!

I keep my mbu in with Mbuna and until yesterday i would have said they are fine. Feeding time came and as i fed the mbuna the Mbu decided that the dominant yellow lab looked like food and ate him! I was shocked as he generally waits back to get personally fed however in heinsight the lab did look rather like the muscles i feed him.
On tanks i think your right about costs but i will say when you look at tanks over 6'x2'x2' acrylic becomes increasingly cheeper, stronger and lighter
