Yeah, I just had a look at one of my puffs that was bit about a month ago, and it definitely looks like that (only not as dark).

what proves it is a bite to me is the gaps on each side.. where there are no teeth... i have to say mine occasionally get them.. and they look just like that..

I never know what I would learn from TPF! I now can recognize a puffer bite mark on the belly.
