I got a cool brain coral on clearance for 20$ because it seemed sick... I can't say if it's doing any better with my GSPs or not, but they have left it alone so far, unlike my mushrooms, which seemed to get picked on.

How does it look? Be sure to feed it meaty foods.

It has half decent color, but I never see any tentacles out, and about 1/6" of it's total edge is dying off as far as I can tell - not sure why, it was happening in the store reef tank with great lights and constant 0 nitrates, thats why I got it for 20$. I tried spot feeding it live phytoplankton in the store, but never was sure if it was eating.

It doesn't eat phyto. Try small pieces of shrimp, mysis, meaty foods. Turn off the flow & place on the mouth/s of the coral.

So it should eat anything that goes onto it's mouths? My tanks has lots of isopods, will it nom on them, too? Might be hard getting anything on there without the GSPs munching it.

It might eat some pods but they really aren't very good catching moving food. That's why I turn off othe flow.

I have always done well with the Cyclop-eeze and the corals. My acans branch out really far when I feed.

Use a turkey baster, squirt the food directly on the mouth.

I'll give some mysis a try, I think, see how they like that.
