Drop an airstone or two in? Mabe she needs more O2 to help digestion?

do you have any melafix/pimafix handy? that wouldn't hurt and would also rule out a skin problem, when my mbu was given to me he was always dark and didn't eat or move alot for a week and a half, but a day after i dosed with Mela/Pima he was bright and hungry, coincidence? i don't think so, any live treats you gave him could have brought a skin disease with it, so give it a try and good luck with that beautiful monster

i would more than agree with the bruce. My fahaka went through a simular stage when he was about 3" I dosed with pimafix and after the treatement he colored back up and started to swim around and be a happy fish again. It definately looks like a skin issue and that could affect overall temperment. IMagine if you broke out in boils over your whole body you probably wouldn't be happy either.

I have both so i will try Pimafix as it deals with fungal and bacterial as Melafix only deals with bacterial lets hope this works, if it doesnt we have a good fish vet not to far away so i will call him out

Hi she gets feed every 2-3 days depending on how much she eats each time

How big is he? My 11" fahaka (includes tail) eats 1-2x/week (other than the other fish's worms he steals out of the worm feeder) & never to the belly size your is.

Abe (my Abei puffer) gets extremely sluggish and lays on the substrate if he's overeaten.

Hi pp she is 15" and about 2 years old, in the wild fahaka eat 2-3% of there body weight a day as this constitutes most of their time hunting for food. Females are larger as a rule and are fully mature at around 18 months and under the right conditions they will spawn. Once they have spawned you can tell male from female quite easily even if you have never seen that puffer before.Anyway getting back two it the problem was she picked up an infection from the feeder shrimp that affected her skin which is now under control.

Hi yes she is almost fully healed, she decided to rearrange her tank last night plants all over the place. I treated her with primfix and sabbactisun.
