what other fish have you kept with GSP's?
Re: what other fish have you kept with GSP's?
I have had my puffers peacfullly living with mollies, top minnows, guppies, golden wonder killie fish, archer fish, and a channel cat. It really depends on the puffer. Watch them close, if they survive after being seen by the puffers they will usualy make it. I had a large prawn living with my puffers fo a while, then one day I watched him get muched on.

What did you have you salinity at?TSTORM wrote: The most interesting tankmate I have now is a blue legged hermit crab.

The salinity is around 1.010-1.012 and I'm going to bump it up to 1.014 eventually. I acclimated the crab from a salt water tank. The crab hangs out all day in gravel or under the logs, then at night comes out to scavenge. The lfs didn't think that the crab would make it with a puffer, they used numerous shells to distract the puffer, but eventually the puffer found the shell with the crab... they have theirs in full marine.jmbishop wrote:What did you have you salinity at?TSTORM wrote: The most interesting tankmate I have now is a blue legged hermit crab.

I have 2 vary small blue leg hermit crabs in a sw tank. They are vary cheap at the lfs and will probably pick up more but I think I'll wait till they are a little bigger to try one in the bw tank.

That's a very good idea, they perfer a specific gravity of 1.024, but will do just fine in high end brackish. Good Luck!jmbishop wrote:I have 2 vary small blue leg hermit crabs in a sw tank.
