Aha! So the plot thickens! This thread is pretty derailed already anyway... No algae cleaner in a tank with a puffer that is already too large for it.

Can I request this thread be locked? It has served it's purpose, I have made my decision, and I don't need more people telling me how my growout tank is too small.

No offense, but don't put a Giant Species Puffer in a tank that wouldn't suit a full grown Green Spotted Puffer. If you don't want people telling you that what you are doing is potentially life threatening for your fish, then don't put it in the predicament in the first place. And definitely do not add other fish to increase the already massive bio-load. These fish are living beings and they suffer just like any other animal would. Think if it as stuffing a Bull Mastiff in a closet.

If you are humiliated by countless experts on this site (& others, I see) commenting on your fishkeeping practices, then do something about it. IMO, you shouldn't have gotten this fish in the 1st place. You say this is a "grow-out tank". Ok, the fish has outgrown it. I already know you don't like large WC. What are your immediate plans for upgrading?

I don't plan on upgrading tomorrow if that's what you want me to say...... I am not humiliated at all or I wouldn't have posted this. Anyway, I really do think that this thread has served it's purpose and I don't need more flaming.

I don't think that you are being flamed but more like called-out for potentially killing this fish. I don't think you have any right to give anyone advice on fish keeping while you yourself, do it improperly. That's the bottom line.

I don't really think that personal attacks are necessary.....

I am concerned about the fish only at this time. Apparently he is going to suffer regardless and it's just horrible. I'm sorry that you cannot see that.

its not that we THINK you are an improper fishkeeper. that, in itself, is a FACT. you can fix this, and you know it,yet you refuse. simple as pie. if you can't get any more tanks, get rid of the fish in the 100g, and put the tetraodon lineatus in there, OR.. get rid of him. being selfish enough to keep the fish even though the quarters are damaging the fish and shortening his lifespan, is no way to be a fishkeeper.

think about the fish, groove.. not about what fish are cool to have. i want a tetraodon lineatus as well.. but you don't see me stuffing him in my 5g. im going to wait until i get the proper size tank. it's not hard to be a responsible fishkeeper.. why must you be so headstrong about it? we don't hate you... we just want to see you succeed and your fish flourish. the way you are going now, is not conducive to either. how hard is that to understand?
