E.g. our Hawaiian whitespotted (C. jactator) was a model citizen. Neither did he hurt corals (sps, lps, rare softies) in the sale tank he was living in, nor any other small fish.

I have also encountered C. valentini being model citizens and others eating everything from soft corals to Tridacna.

I guess you'll never know for sure what you get and think the key point is to have options available to separate toby and corals again if it does not work.

My valentini is a perfect gentleman in the reef tank but even though they look closely related, the coronata picked at eveything & had to be moved.

What I wanted to say is that in my experience coral-eating or being a model citizen is not related to specific species, but individuals. You can also happen to get a model coronata and a berzerk valentini.

Btw. I also know a C. solandri who does not touch any corals, while Yunachin had worse experience with them.

No, i found them in divers den. they are definitley not C. coronata.
