thats were it is lol i knew i had seen a really good article somewere just couldnt remember were to find it.

tank was cycled week before it put it in. i brought the water to the fish store and they said it's fine

Please explain in detail how you cycled your tank in 1 week. "Fine", doesn't mean anything. You must post exact ammonia, nitrite, nitrate & pH levels, for us to help you.

Do you mean the tank was running for a week? Cycling is building up good bacteria, an empty tank doesn't cycle, only run, and a running, empty tank will always test "fine" because there is nothing in it to produce waste.

iono i take the water sample to the fish place they told me it's ok just do a little water change

ok that is more than likly the problem, tanks usually tank around a month to cycle in general. there is an article on fishless cycle in the library you should read it cus it can explain it way better than me, but first either test the water if you have a test kit, if not then just do a large water change either way. i would assume that if the tank was only set up for a week and not cycled with an old filter or media than its not cycled, and adding a fish like a fahaka would add tremendous!!! amounts of amonia to a tank so just keep doing daily large water changes and try and get a water test kit, i would suggest API master freshwater test kit, but if its not available then just any liquid freshwater test kit will do fine.

how long can a fahaka last without eating, cause my is still alive over 2 weeks without eating? (or hes eating and i dont know about)

How thin does he look? I still haven't seen you post any water parameters.

he do look thin and he just stay afloat, about the water parameters i have no idea unless i go get a test kit but i have been busy lately. he has like rash spots on his skins too

Too busy to care for & save this fish? Then why did you get it? When is the last time you did a water change?

i do 25% every four days and im doing my best to save it

How much are you changing? What have you done to try to get this fish to eat? What have you done for internal parasites?

You MUST keep a close eye on water parameters. Get yourself some test kits! After 2 weeks, you will have to start force-feeding this fish but if you don't have the time, I'd say good-by to your puffer.

damn man i tried pimafix and the other fix and the jungle thingy during the course of 3 weeks and i do 25% water change cause thats what the direction told me. in the tank i still have ghost shrimps guppies, that actually make more mini guppies. if those things survive dont you think the water parameters is fine? cause if the baby guppies can survive no way in hell the water is toxic. how do i start force feeding
