Yes, just don't keep taking him out and putting him in a bowl when you do them!

I did a WC last night and Charlie seems to be doing better today. Hes eating and looking for food. I added instant ocean to the new water and gradually added to the tank KEEPING Charlie in the tank. I am worried about the skin on his tail though... it has peeled back more now and you can really see flesh. Will he be able to recover from that? Can I help him in any way? I plan on doing a 25% WC tonight. My salinity is about 1.0001 right now so I plan on raising it slowly as to not shock Charlie.

hey! Everyone just kind of stopped talking to me about him! But thatnks for asking! Charlie is getting better. I have been doing water changes once a week and the flesh that was showing is now healing and skin is starting to grow back. His tail hasnt grown back yet though but he is swimming around and eating regularly! Thank you again for asking about him!

I have a gsp with a nipped tail that never grew back. It was nipped when I purchased him. I actually have two and that's the only way I can tell them apart. Glad to hear that Charlie is doing better.

Luckily a puffer without a tail is at much less of a handicap than most fish would be...
