Oh. Relief. He is alive and swimming. Hopefully he wont hate me. I think i trimmed them just right. I will try to post some pics later.

Yeah i will check on him right now. When i put him in the tank he was still sort of dizzy but i think he might be swimming actively now. Be back in a sec.

I cut his lip :( , he is a bit traumatized :( and he seems to hat me. But i would to if someone cut me and KO me. I have his light off and he tries to hide from me when he sees me. I will just have to wait.

I'm sure he'll be just fine though. he'll remember who brings the food ;)

I actually posted that before you said he was swimming, but for some reason it didn't show up until after like three more posts :?

Oh. LOL. I feel bad about his lip but its only a small cut. I threw some snails in the tank. He noticed them then saw me. Probably thought i did something to them. LOL

I cut the lip of my Hawaiian puffer and he hated he until dinner time.

Did the same thing the 1st time I trimmed teeth. Add Melafix to help speed healing.

As you can see, he had no trouble eating,, with his sore lip.
Whenever trimming teeth, it is best to pull back the lip & cut as much of the teeth as you can. Multible dosing of clove oil seems to cause brain damage.

On closer inspection of the teeth i dont think i cut them at all. GROAN. I really dont want to ahve to do it again. I think i was so traumatized i rushed thorugh and i just scraped them. Basically i let the clippers slide off is teeth. Tips?

Get a helper to hold the puffer in a net for you & be more aggressive with the cutting, pulling back the lips to see how long the teeth really are. It's like cutting a fingernail.
