yeah, it's probably got other chemicals in it that could harm my fish. Anyway i went out to get some metafix but there isn't a lot of places that have it here in hong kong so i went out and got this AZOO ectoparasite treatment but i don't think this is what i need...

If it's available, the common anti parasitic metrodiazole also has antibiotic qualities.

Why did you get a parasite treatment, if you think it's bacterial? BTW, Melafix won't harm your biological system, like other anti-bacterial meds will. You really need to ID the problem, before throwing meds at it. That's why I always suggest Melafix as a start, because it's so safe.

I got the ectoparasite med because from what i understood at the time, they are good for the ilnesses which are superficial. Also, i wasn't sure about their antibacterial treatment since i know some do mess up the cycle. It seems to be working, six hours after i added some to the tank, i noticed that the bumps started to retract or did not look as raised as before. It could be my imagination though...
The product i got is the second last one. I'm not sure why the white spot treatment and the ectoparasite seem to have the same list of illnesses that they treat, it's the same with their other products, it's a bit confusing.
