My GSP took MONTHS to come around. It just takes a lot of patience. Keep offering him food from your hand, eventually he'll get it, or make the food more tempting by soaking it in garlic first.
If you can, move the tank to somewhere you spend lots of time. I have my tank set up right next to my computer

I've had my GSP since November 2006, and she's a wimp. She never comes around when I am close. I have no idea why she is so afraid of me (or anything else moving outside the tank). It can come from the time when my dog used to drink out of the tank (BW, yummy!).

The only fish that aren't afraid of me (including my like 7 inch bichir that could swallow my finger whole) are my two gouramis.

Haha, I wouldn't tell that to too many people!

My two Ceylons are still trying to get used to the activity. Allakazam doesn't seem to like the temperature being high, because whenever people are around, he goes really pale, and then when we "leave" (ie. I pretend like I'm not paying attention), he goes back to being normal colouring and swimming around. I think he also just hates me after the water change I did the other day, hehe.
