Maybe mix the the kril with mysis shrimp or brine shrimp.

My puffers get a mix of fresh raw shrimp, salmon, nori (yes they LOVE their dried algae sheets) and krill. Every now and then I try other things (fresh clams, oysters, etc)...their colors really intensified after I started the fresh raw shrimp diet and nori combination. They have more than doubled in size for the most part. The Stellatus has grown the most - when I got him, he was literally the size of a nickel. Now 4 months later on the above diet - he is literally about 6 inches and very plump and happy...

I think puffers that will grow to eventually monster status, do it quite quickly, as the FW fahaka & mbu.

Frozen Mysis finally changed him. Now he's off of the fresh water fish and is eating like a pig. I've got a sailfin in with him now and they get along great. I throw him strips from raw prawns, frozen krill, and clams. Thanks for all your help! :D
