I got my Chromides and knight Gobies from wholesale tropicals on the tropical fish finder web site.
They have both listed still :-)
Can't recommend them enough superbly packed delivered early, spot on.

Not the best picture in the world, plenty more in that album though.

I wonder if there's a particular colour or recommended tube that shows off the Chromides better that isn't ridiculously expensive. Perhaps a certain colour of light makes them stand out better.

thought id chime in on this one --- i have had mollies and BBGs with figure 8s -- every mollie has been killed but every BBG is still alive and kickin' -- seems like the complete oppisite of pufferpunk --

guess its all about the personality of the indiv puffer -- if i had the room, id go with chromides, i think the orange would give a great contrast to the color of the fig 8 , and live plants if you have them -- good luck -- sounds like an awesome set up

Believe me--my F8s have picked off their share of mollies too...

I've moved the molly I was keeping with them out of their tank when I moved them from one room to another; we're decorating the room they came from (and will be in) and then when they get moved back they'll be going in the new tank. I thought it was a good opportunity to move her out: it wasn't that they were aggressive, but that she was over eager at feeding times and would see them off! I knew it wasn't going to end well one day!

Re the knight gobies and orange chromides: these are definitely my top two choices right now. I may get a pair (male and female) of chromides, and a trio of knight gobies. Stock would then be:
2x F8
3x Knight goby
2x Orange chromide

Although, I'm still not 100% sure about the chromides. I may leave them out.

Jenny, do you know if a dragon goby would be ok with knight gobies? I'm thinking 'not' (and they say, "if you have to ask the answer is probably no" :D)

I recently made an order from Wildwoods via TFF. Due for delivery tomorrow (some unusual loaches). Lack of communication from anyone since placing the order is a bit of a worry...but we'll see. I'll PM you and let you know how it goes if you're interested in using TFF.

Okay, I've decided I'm going to relocate my filters to the 55 gallon I set up, and I'm wondering what other gobies/fish I could keep with the F8 I hope to get this Saturday! I've read the suggestions here and am definitely going to get/order 3 Knight Gobies. However, are there any other fish I could keep? I was considering a Dragon Goby, but I think I've decided against it (although they do look quite interesting). I looked at Wasp fish quickly, but I've read that they're venomous (like a wasp :P)... wouldn't they sting the F8/Gobies and cause some problems? If not, I think I might get one of those as well, assuming they're compatible with everyone (ie. F8, BBGs, and Knight Gobies).

Agnate,
Ref the wasp fish.
I have 2 in with 4 x F8's all seems good so far. The wasp fish have their own little corner which they spend most of their time in and the puffers leave well alone :-)

Good luck! Let me know how it goes: we'll have to compare our nearly identical stocks at some point! Post pics!
