More like the food the puffer misses. IME they don't go for ABC food.

my BBGs aren't a good clean up crew --- once it hits the bottom they leave it alone - unless really hungry i guess -- i feel like my f8 cleans up after himself, which is a problem if i overfeed and the BBGs dont clean up --
ive found using a turkey baster and target feeding everyone to be the best -- otherwise someone over-eats and someone else under-eats

Yeah, I've been feeding with a turkey baster, if only because I can put in the worms one at a time and make sure that they eat it.
One trick that I've found with my BBGs, Mike, is if they don't eat it when it hits the ground, suck up a bunch of water in the baster and blast it at the food. When I feed them bloodworms, it makes them either lift off the rocks, or wiggle around a bunch so that they think they're still alive. I've had my BBGs clean up a lot of food like that! ^_^
