There's now some so-called "expert" on that forum that insists it's OK to clean out a tank with dish soap. Everyone there says he never lead them wrong. Is there some myth I wasn't aware of that now it's OK to use soap?

I've used dishwashing liquid to get algae off on old tanks that I was resetting up. Of course I rinsed it out a whole lot and let it dry out and then re rinsed too.

wow he was just so arogent. i cant believe that. i joined that forum too...i read some of the stuff and just didnt like it...so i joined this one

i cant believe he didnt even care for the fish. he just shrugged it off and said they were temporary....just rude!
