PufferPunk no disrespect meant, I know you feel passionately about dogs having puppies when there's so many in this world, but these dogs have been living together for 3 years and they just don't know what to do. Honest. We are talking about a huge Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and 2 male Pug dogs. I've watched them, they will hump on her leg, but they haven't a clue where to put their bits, so I just don't see puppies happening. I've owned dogs for years and I've always been a careful dog owner. So although you may think I'm being careless, I am confident that no pregnancy will result this late in the game.

does your two male dogs not fight because your retriever is in heat suzanne?

just curious why your female aint neutered, ending all the hassle in her being in heat

your 2 males might not be able to get her pregnant.

but god forbid one day she accidently gets out on you in heat, and other male dogs could get her pregnant.

Thankfully they do not fight, they sort of take turns paying her attention.

When I first got Chessie I was going to breed her with another Chesapeake Bay Retriever, but there's not many to be found in England. I always make sure to keep her confined when she's in heat, and am very careful that she does not get out, although she's not the type of dog to run away. She's nearly 4 years old and I guess I've worried about her being older and being put under anesthesia.

I know everyone's got concerns about her getting pregnant, and I respect those views, but I do take good care of all my animals and I just don't see her getting pregnant by my two. However, as PufferPunk pointed out, it probably would be better for her health if she were spayed, so I will do some research and see about getting that done before her next heat. :)

Where theres a willy theres a way!!

pity there isnt a quote of the day!!!! thats priceless, but true lol!

but if you dont intend on breeding her suzanne, i would look into getting her spayed.
healthwise she will be so much better off, im getting my lurcher spayed in october.

i couldnt do with dogs in heat etc, the mess and unwanted attention from male dogs.

good luck with her, i know you love & look after your doggies well!

They should ALL be fixed. It's responsible pet ownership. Not only for their health but to prevent risks to themselves and other dogs. And don't worry, 4 isn't anywhere near old enough to worry about spaying her :)

Well well, haven't we been told

I moved my horse and my stuff today to a new barn. The move went quite well overall and he's settling in. While I was packing up the BO was served. Well, someone tried to serve him but he wouldn't answer the door. The guy came and asked me if he was there and I told him that the BO was in fact in his house. Too bad. The guy mentioned the police would be coming  Sucker.

So what's it mean when you get served? Something to do with court or something but I don't know beyond that.

Today whilst searching ebay for a few ps3 games I came across a karaoke one ending in about 40 seconds with 0 bids.. although I can't sing, I like to sing so bidded on it quickly as it was cheap. I paid and then got a message from the seller saying I had to pay extra for postage.. I told her I'd already paid what ebay had told me and she said "she needed more"...

Honestly she only wanted a few £ more, and I would of paid.. except I'd rather buy it off someone else if that's what she's going to do and she was so rude.
After saying I wanted my refund she messed about all day sending excuses and telling me to do things.
I finally got my money back at 10pm and a message telling me I was an idiot.. along with the worst spelling ever and to read descriptions more closely next time because I'd messed her about with a big THANK YOU. on the end.

I replied "It's actually against ebays rules to add on extra costs as it's bypassing their fees, so good luck with that report I sent.
They put a maximum postage price on for a reason, if you want to charge extra postage for a heavier item.. add it onto the main listing price next time.
Thank YOU."

Stupid woman.
I wanted that game :(
