My DP sleeps all the time, at least it seems that way. he gets up in between the plastic plants and wedges himself in and goes to sleep. I can always tell when he's been asleep too, his mouth gets a dark ring round it. They are too cute when they sleep.

I dont know if i should have posted this somewhere else but one of my puffers always sleeps at the top back corner of the tank floating. is that normal?

For puffers to sleep floating on the top is not normal. It usually mean something is wrong. Wrong temp or insufficient dissolved o2 perhaps.. But wait for other more experienced keeper. They are usually wedged somewhere in decorations, rocks, driftwood or some plants or at the sand bed.

Ive caught my GSP sleeping on the bottom and just randomly falling asleep while swimming and just floating everywhere lol

im wondring if its a security thing casue the other puffer likes to nip at his fins if hes sleeping and the other isnt

im setting up a 75gallon that will have lots of cover and places to hide in 2 days and my other 20gallon is still cycleing

how big is petey? he looks about 3 inches long in that lol

Hes about 4 1/2 " . Cant get an accurate measure , he wont stay still . lol

I fiiiiinally got a picture of Lola napping. I will have to transfer the photos onto my computer sometime this week.

After his meal Pig went missing. After some thorough searching he was relaxing with his head on a shell tugged away between a lot of anubias. His colors go very flat when he is sleeping, it used to worry me but as soon as he wakes up his spots go dark, his green becomes brighter and the yellow spot on his head returns.


The blurs in the front are a heater and a piece of wood, I could only see him through that tiny hole at the side of the tank which shows how well hidden he was .

oh lol i read it as his head IN a shell and i was like i dont see any shell! i love his little spots, ive never seen a dp like that.

That will be because it is a Green Spotted Puffer and not a Dwarf Puffer.
