I setup my 5.5gal for Loki though...

He seems happy with the rest of my FW plants.

I fixed up my 55 for the fish I have left after getting rid of the other b/n pleco, cories, tetras[big], & angelfish:


I also setup this 5.5 for my orange betta, Loki, but once he dies or the 29 is setup[for the goldfish] and he goes in there this will be for my dwarf puffer:


And of course my 29 is still empty...my cat loves laying on that glass lid, so I have a bad feeling for any new T5 lights...lol:


But it's getting setup for only him and maybe Loki as I said[that one is still iffy]:

Sooo...update time!

My 55 suddenly crashed. My theory is my computer that is pretty messed up decided to shoot sparks out and some landed into the 55. Computers have mercury, lead, and just *TONS* of heavy metals and toxins so it would explain a lot...It went through a quick recycle yesterday [ammo: 1PPM, 0 nitrI & nitrA] but appears to be back to normal today[5PPM nitrate]...

I did loose 1 danio & all 3 of my panda cories, but I ended up being lame and picking up 4 new panda cories earlier since I had to go outta town anyways. 1 sadly, died on the way home & another is looking bad...but the other 2 are exploring like crazy!

The 40gal has no pictures, but besides loosing a xray tetra, it seems fine and it's nitrates are 5PPM from off the charts...lol It's not my tank really[tho I maintain it more then my mom], so It doesn't affect me when something happens to those fish. I really would like to see a green spot puffer in there tho...

29 is fine with my betta, Loki[orange veiltail] & Stormy[Calico Ryukin Goldfish]...no pictures cuz it's just a mess of plants right now...

And the 3 bettas[Burma, Crowley, & Firefox] are doing fine. Wendigo suddenly died, but I really sorta expected that and want to get a replacement for him, eventually...

Oh, my 5.5 got tore down too...I don't plan on resetting it up.

Maybe it's time for another update?

The 55gal has went through some changes...



Current fish list is:
2 Swordtails ... 1 is Blood red, other is a "blue pearl"
6? Platies...hybrids, blue wag, etc.
3 Zebra Danios ... 1 is a hybrid Zebra/Glowlight[not glofish]
1 Pristella Tetra ... not too crazy about them, no more will get stocked...
3 Albino B/N Plecos ... 1 M, 2 FM

Not too many plants...just hardy survivors since the hornwort gets out of control[surprisingly, yes, even under .5WPG]...

10gal is running for IceStorm, my newest/only betta now. He's a marble crowntail, I think. I'm hoping his tank can grow some rarer plants I wanted, eventually. For now, it's wayyyyy too empty...


Sometimes I see the solo red cherry shrimp[everyone else died from that shipping fiasco], I call Synaptik, but I doubt he still lives... :S [[long dead ]]

Unfortunately, I didn't think to take actual FTS shots today, but I can/will when I get the "real" camera charged...

I was also surprised to "my" green mustard gas halfmoon betta being in the Petco in Port Charlotte[long story...and I needed salt for the reefs...lol] so anyways, I got him...

His name is Vynom and will be going in the 20gL when that's divided alittle down the road[5 gallons per betta]...so no...he doesn't break my limited running tank rule thingy right now...

I saw him there last time[when I got my 20 gallon high that *WAS* supposed to be a high tech planted tank but later would be the reef...lol] and I didn't have enough money for both[or actually, anything besides the tank]...

When I seen him still there, I flipped cuz I *REALLY* wanted him...lol But that's not quite enough to be able to bring him home... For him and the salt, it was $24.05[including tax and the salt was only $8.45]...so...you can imagine how much he was...lol But worth every penny...he actually knew me and *PUFFED* up when he saw me again...

I... didn't know you could spend that much on a betta. The bettas, even the really fancy ones, I see around here are never more than $10, and usually closer to $4-$6. I'm glad you were able to get him though.

lol I woulda loved to get him for $10! lol Halfmoons are usually pretty expensive, tho...so I got him for an ok price...

Around me prices are usually:
Veiltails: $2-5
Crowntails: $4-7
Deltatails: $7
Doubletails: $8
Halfmoons: $13-15
HMDbTPK/HMPKs: $15 [but...lol I got Carbon, my halfsun[halfmoon/crowntail mix] doubletail, mislabled at around $4 ]
Kings: $15
Giant HMPKs: ~$30

Females usually cost as much as the males but anything other then crowntail & veiltail girls is hard to find...

I can still remember as a teenage buying my first betta for $1.99 at Petsmart. They have so many varieties now.

Bettas are so awesome because they are a low bioload, extremely personable, can live in divided tanks without being "cramped", etc....I *THINK* they are my favorite kind of fish[puffers are next, goldfish, then cichlids]...

Anyways, besides this, my update is that my laptop's harddrive died[so I had to send it back to dell which sucks] & my stupid betta, Lokki decided to jump the divider in with my other betta, Amp...well..Amp is 2x his size so you know who won...

This was Lokki just a few hours before the stupidity and now maybe a quarter of his tail[and half his dorsal] are missing[ ]


He's in QT now and looks good[full personality] but IDK if his fins will ever be "nice" again which sucks cuz his coloration is very unusual...
