how to offer food, little fish big tank
how to offer food, little fish big tank
my 2" fahaka arrives tommorow and is goin directly into the 180. My question is , how do I offer him food. Just drop it in, I have some frozen bloodworms, which is his current diet and small pond snails. If I just drop the food in will he find it??

I got a small scallop shell and trained mine to take his food there. I made sure he saw me putting the food in there with a turkey baster, then he'd go investigate and eat. He learned that anything I put in there was food, and I was easily able to introduce new foods that way.

They'll usually come to beg for food, so it won't be hard for them to find the food you drop in. This is my experience with 1.5" ceylons in a 120g.
