Ive been doing my homework but would appreciate any tips for a happy healthy fahaka. Its only 2" so I guess Im not going to put him in the 180 yet, Ill judt leave a few tinfoils in there to keep it cycled etc.. Im going to put him in one of my 29gal and evict some convict cichlids. Im also ordereing a few hundred small pond snail to begin a breeding project. What can I feed him when small ? snails and broken up krill, can the krill be dried or does it have to be fresh/ frozen? thanks for any help!

I see no problem in putting him in the 180 right away. They are very active and he'll make use of all of it, even if he's small.
Krill should only be given as a very occasional treat, as it can cause constipation and even death if given too often. There are a couple of food articles in our Library.

And he'll grow a lot faster if you get him in the 180 right away. Trust me, you won't regret it.
