Kinda a spaz... does the "up and down the glass" with more energy than just about any puff I've seen:

I went back to the store and checked it out... it's the cartoony puffer! I took some pictures with my phone (so the quality kinda blows):

I wish I could get him, but I am out of free tank space... a cute and very hyper little dude. My LFS has had him for a couple of weeks and he looks healthy and eats like a... well, like a puffer

Are they keeping it in SW? That puffer isn't even in Ebert's book! Does it have identical markings to the one at Fishbase? Cause there are many variations of the Sphoeroides species & are extremely difficult to tell apart. They can grow anywhere fron 15-45 cm, so it would be good for the LFS to know for sure which one it is.

It's in saltwater. The markings are very close, and the face is a near perfect match. I took a lot of pictures, but the hyper little puff was moving so much, most of them came out blurry. It also has the little spines along its flanks like in this picture:

The only difference is the caudal fin is not as yellow. I wish I had a tank for this guy... but my wife would kill me if I tried to set another one up

For me the fish price isn't the issue... it's the life support system (aka the tank and accoutrements). I have no place to set up another tank in my tiny 2 bedroom apartment... I already have one tank on the bathroom counter and another in the kitchen!

This LSF also just got a beautiful pair of T. suvattii I would love to buy... so many puffers, so little space
