GSP puffed with spikes???

I never realized that they had so many tiny spikes that come out when they puff up! He had eaten a snail that was a little too big and had a hard time getting it down, which I guess stressed him out enough to puff up and there were the spikes. I never knew they had them. They just kind of came and went pretty fast but were definitely spikes! He got the snail down and is back to normal again...

Yup, I believe all puffers have spines, even my tiny little DPs. :)

Yeah it was very strange! He looked kinda pathetic though. LOL.

Haha yeah when I saw my Valentini puff up he looked so funny. He looked really self conscious! He also had little spikes, it was amazing to see this little fish almost triple his size and then go back to normal within about 30 seconds!
