Good tank deal?

Post by G S P Freak »

My lfs owner offered to sell me a brand-spanking new 75G for $140, or a 120G for $220. The dimensions for the 75G are 48x18x21 and the 120G is 60X18X26.
Is this a really good deal? Im considering getting one or the other fore my red-eared slider. Thanks in advance.

They both sound like a good deal to me. Are you gonna go for the 210g?

Most likely I will go for the 120G. I already have a stand that fits the dimensions perfectly. Height doesn't matter, so I'm just debating whether the extra 12" length is worth an extra $80.

P.S. My RES is 8" long x 6" wide. He's over 20 years old, I figure he put up with me for 2 decades, deserves a decent tank. Hes stuck in a 75L atm =/. Only 13" wide, poor fellah.

I would haggle and ask to have a light or hood or some other kind of accessory thrown in with the deal. ;)

My turtle can't have a light or hood, and I can't think of any extras I may need short of some new fluval sponges lol =P.

I wouldn't have thought about that for a second. I would have ripped his arm off buying both tanks. That's an awesome deal for either tank!
But, I get excited about tanks, I am a buy now and figure out the logistics of where I'm going to put it and what I'm going to put in it later kinda girl...lol
I have 8 future tanks sitting on my porch right now. 6 of them are 20 gal tanks bc my daughter sent me a screen shot of a Facebook ad for a local store selling them for $14.99 each. I rushed to the store and bought the last 6 that they had. Bc for that price I couldn't pass them up and I'm my head I saw 6 new Betta homes.
They have been sitting on my porch for a couple of months bc I was also looking for a big tank at the time and happened to come across a 224 gal that I purchased. That 224 gal has put those 6- 20 gal betta homes on hold bc setting up a big tank is a whole new beast. I cannot even think about buying anything to get those 20 gal tanks up and running bc the 224 is taking every penny that I can get my hands on to set up.

I am new to this forum and am only here to learn about my Fahaka Puffer. I am learning this forum as I go so, I replied to a 12 year old thread. It doesn't bother me that the original person who posted this may not even be around to read my reply. I'm sorry if it upsets any one else. I thought this was supposed to be a friendly helpful site but I'm kinda beginning to wonder bc it seems kinda hostile to me. I'm sorry if I was supposed to come in here and not make any mistakes. That wasn't in the rules bc I read them. I'll try to be more careful next time.

It wasn't meant at all to be hostile. Just information.
