Hi,
I have 3 juvenile GSPs, about 1-1.5" in 120g brackish tank.
Today I noticed 2 of the puffers have a white patch near their side fin. One was behaving normally, the other had wrapped his tail round him and looked slightly bloated and was breathing quite hard. Within 5 mins he was up and acting normally. The patch does not seem to be raised or spotty and no fluff.
My tank parameters are:
Salinity 1.009sg ( I'm increasing slowly)
Ammonia is 0
Nitrates 2.5
Nitrites 0
Ph 7.5
Temp fluctuates daily between 24 and 25c
Last water change yesterday, 25% change, raised salinity by 0.001 and dosed tank with 5ml prime.
Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Laura

Hi Laura, ![welcome [welcome]](./images/smilies/welcome.gif)
Sometimes they get that & it's considered like a bruise. Keep an eye on it. You can add Melafix to enhance healing.
What are you using for substrate?

You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...
