I want a planted aquarium but I saw that sand was the best for pea puffers but will the plants grow ok with sand i heard they can burrow sometimes thanks also any brands of sands i should buy

Yes, I have sand & plants in all my tanks. I use play sand from the hardware store but you have to rinse it a LOT! If it is just for a 10g, just buy 10lbs from the pet store. 15g is recommended for pea puffers, so you can keep 5-6 of them. They like to be in groups.
