New To The World of Pufferfish

Post by RENO »

Hello All,
I am Reno and I've recently purchased (May 8th)a Fahaka Puffer and I LOVE IT!! I'm not sure how old but it's about 10in from head to tail. He does have tank mates: 2 peacock chiclids, 1 Tin Foil Barb, 3 Small silver dollars, 3 cory catfish, 2 Bala Sharks, 1 Rainbow shark, 1 convict, and a Ram. All are small except for the Barb he's about 3in.
The Cory catfish are always on his back like they are cleaning him. For a while he wouldn't eat anything but small snails. He denied crayfish, large snails, shrimp, clams on a half shell and worms. Monday he did eat 2 earthworms. Any idea on what else to try?
I'm excited to be here!!!

Great-looking fish you have there! Sure doesn't look like it has missed any meals.
How large is his tank? Was it from a tank that housed tankmates with it?

UPDATE: Biggie aka Puff Daddy is eating everything I put in his tank.. (except clams) he will eat half shell clams...
To answer the questions about tank mates. I am not sure. However, I did discover he had a very bad fungus or Bacteria on his skin. He's clearing up nicely and roaming all over his 125 gal tank...
