T. schoutedeni very shy

Post by Plorbond »

Hey all,

Last week I finally got my hands on a T. schoutedeni from Dans Fish. Very fat, loves bloodworms, looks really healthy. I’m concerned, however, that it’s incredibly shy. It rarely moves from one spot near a piece of driftwood, unless I’m feeding it. Anything I should be concerned about, or is it still just settling in? I plan on adding more plants in a couple days, would that potentially help? I also considered adding ember tetras to provide some dithers, but I’m unsure if they will be beneficial or not.

Thanks!

It’s not heavily planted yet, I have a good amount of plants arriving sometime next week though. My concern right now is that he hasn’t moved much from one spot or eaten in the last couple days. Hoping the new plants will help
