Figure 8 puffer is a picky eater

Post by christiaan509 »

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, and just wanted to know how I can get my figure 8 to eat his mysis shrimps, and clams in the half shell?

He ABSOLUTELY LOVES bloodworms and gets excited as soon as he sees them. But when trying to feed him his mysis shrimp or clams he just sort of swims past. Has anyone had any similar problems or experiences? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm afraid he's beak will start over growing after a while. I've only had him for a month now.

Water parameters are good and he's alone on a 20 gallon brackish water setup.
