Has any one kept a topaz puffer with a figure of 8 puffer ?

Post by richard18 »

Has any one on here actually tried to keep a topaz ( ceylon ) puffer with a figure of 8 puffer ??as I've seen videos on YouTube of it actually happening.

As you can keep the salinity at 1.0010 when doing so

I suggest against this. The Ceylon will eventually need a much higher salinity & will grow to 4x the mass of the F8,

Thats what they suggest on line
But On a doc on youtube they show green spotted puffers in the wild living in. 1.0010
So thought it be OK to keep them at that ?
Plus I've seen vids of topaz and f8 in the same aquarium .

In the wild, GSPs visit back & forth between FW-SW. We are talking about the best water conditions for the longevity of these species in captivity, not in the wild. Youtube vids are showing a minute in the life of a fish that can live over 10 years if kept properly.
