colomesus puffer. New set up

Post by Goonerman1 »

Hi there. It's been some years since I've posted on this Forum. In the past I have kept Dwarf Puffers and a Ceylon Puffer. For the past 13 years I have succesfully run a large Marine Reef but decided to close it down. It's been around 4 weeks since the shutdown and typically for a fishkeeper I'm missing it  . So, I have decided to dip my toe into puffer keeping once again. I am currently cycling a 4 foot tank to house 3 Amazon Puffers. I have done my research online but would be interested if anyone out there keeping these fish had any tips and tricks that may not have been covered in the info out there on the www.

The tank is a bit cloudy at the moment as I have just added some sand. Need to get some floss in there! I intend to add more plants over the coming weeks to try and give the tank a more Amazonian(is that even a word?? :? ) look/feel. Any tips on choice of plants would be appreciated.

BTW the rock on the wood is simply holding it down in place until it gets waterlogged and stays put ;-)
