I looked after a foot long yellow dogface puffer when I was working in marine fish sales and I hand fed it everyday for 3 years and it would go crazy throwing water everywhere at feeding time, if you put your hand into the water he would roll over on his back and let you tickle his stomach, it took alot to do this as his teeth could crunch through my bone like cheese but he was so gentle and clearly of a higher intelligence to many other fish I've spent time with.
When customers would go up to the tank he would show his teeth and push them on the glass and shake water all over them and they loved it, the puffer would get genuinely excited to see people!
