LOL, maybe he doesn't like the dirty glass?
He looks very thin. Is that bump on the bottom the food he ate or air?

I think it is air it could be food. I haven’t been really scrubbing my tank lately because I don’t want him to be stressed even more then he is. The only think he is liking it eat now is live and I don’t like that for number of reasons. Is there another way to get the air out besides burping him?

Have you tried just gently pushing the air out manually?

Yes, I did get air out of him I could not get all of it. Every time he sees me now he seems is very stressed.

Live earthworms?

Yes. Sorry the earthworms are live. My plan is I am going to leave him alone for a week more and let him keep eating live fish. Then when he gets his strength back up I will try to get that last air bubble out. A guy at the lfs said I could try giving him a salt bath but it sounds dangerous and could kill him. Do you recommend any live fish to feed him that has good nutritional value?

No reason for a salt bath, he doesn't have external parasites. Try gut-loading any fish you offer him by feeding them vitamin-enriched food. Like, soaking blackworms in vita-chem.

He is starting it from me again. Also I saw him eating flask food from the rasboras left over lol. Thank you for helping me Pufferpunk. Below is him eating a worm. Sorry the video isn’t the greatest I am not a good cameraman.

That's great, I was really worried about him? Does he ever burrow in that sand?

Re: Hairy puffer is on his laying funny on plants
No he never has done it before. He killed the plants by laying in it so much. Well one is still alive but not strong enough to hold him. Now he just hangs out on a rock. Do you think I should build a cave for him? I was thinking to get more and putting so co2 in the tank so the new plants would be stronger. Do you soak your worms in vita chem before you feed them to your hairy puffer?

Mine is in his cave 99% of the time. I think the vitamins would drown the worms.
